HI Everyone. Does anyone know how I can build a low voltage dc power supply for my Revolver Turntable. I was using a Hornet PSU and motor from Pink Triagle, but have now installed this in another turntable which I've built from scratch. This leaves me needing a replacement. I have an ironless motor and pulley, in a neat housing which can easily be installed in my Revolver T/T, what I dont have however, is a psu. The Pink triangle item uses a two button, full logic control system, one button for on/off, and the other for switching between 33 & 45 rpm. This psu uses an input of 13.8 volts, and is designed for use with an ordinary 2 wire brushed dc motor running at about 1.5 volts. It has the abiltity to sense the speed of the motor, so as to maintian a constant speed under different load conditions, ie. when the stylus is at the beginning of the record, and when it is at the end.
The motor I propose to use requires about 1 - 1.2 volts, and I'm really looking for a circuit which is capeable of performing like the Pink Triangle Hornet, but which doesnt use a full logic control system, as I want to use a 3 postion (on-off-on) rocker switch, to swith between 45 rpm, off, and 33 rpm, a hole for which was made at the Revolver factory. I would welcome any inforamtion or help you can give.
