....amplifiers, especially those with switching power supplies in subwoofers, aren't designed to attenuate VHF and UHF, and in fact generate more noise of their own. Let's not argue. And my point, again, was counterpoint to a wholly-generalized and emphatic (over)statement. But designers themselves aren't immune from making sweeping declarations. I remember reading what the designer of Halcro stated a few years ago regarding power cables and his amplifiers, i.e., they wouldn't make a whit of difference....I laughed hysterically (with the reviewer of said amps at that time), after making some changes in his system. I've got more stories....
