I like good line conditioners but usually they do nothing for a well designed amp.I have in on good authority (actually, from several) that a certain line conditioner works splendidly with Pass 600-watt monoblocks, VTL 750-watt Reference monoblocks, various EAR amplifiers including their 200-watt monoblocks, KR monoblocks, Art Audio amps, and a variety of high-powered subwoofers including REL and Velodyne. But then it must be the case, as you state, that these products aren't well-designed.
Beware of painting with wide brushes.
