Thanks for the input Chris. I much appreciate your time. The idea of a parasitic oscillation preventer had never occurred to me which shows how much I know.The 0.001 uF polyprop film caps are Panasonic ECQ-P series (Digi-Key) which Panasonic says are noninductive construction here. Of course lots of manufacturers say things! :-)
If I could impose on your time and expersise a bit more: Which do you think would be the best option for these 35 year old ceramic disks:
1. Replace with 0.001 uF Pany ECQ-P only
2. Replace with 0.001 uF Pany ECQ-P bypassed with a 100 PF KEMET COG Multilayer ceramic
3. Replace with a 0.001 uF KEMET COG Multilayer ceramic onlyAt the 0.001 uF level are C19 and C21 likely to be doing any sonic coloration anyway?
