I have owned several SS and tube tuners. The 3 left on my shelf are:
Marantz 10b - The best stereo FM tuner. Period.
REL Precedent - The best Mono FM tuner and the most georgeous piece of vintage audio gear ever.
Fisher 90x - The best budget Mono FM tuner. $80 with cabinet and a close second to the REL! All of the Fisher tuners seem to have the best cost/performance ratio.
