I agree with you on a good few things, like well coupled (reasonable caps) SS decoders beating MOST valve ones, and being a / THE? way of getting the most, out of most/simpler valve tuners! ..... But, I really envy you your reception conditions! ;-)!!!!

Have you read up on the saga I had with TVI on my main 'tuner', the 'once-was-a-simulcast rcvr' - Kenwood W8?
