thanks - dont know the quality of reception in this place, which is near ALOT of water, but in the car these two stations, and the 70's rock station are astoundingly well received. Perhaps it is the quality of the stock radio tuner in the Honda, which is a very well produced machine..
I once upon a time had a beautiful Marantz 112 in c. 1977 which was a bloodhound, and had great separation, as there was a traffic jam of stations, being in South Niagara, with many radio markets within a 100 mile radius which included Toronto, Buffalo, Hamilton, Rochester, all the local towns, even Erie, PA, was within that fairly moderate distance.
The quality of sound I am getting from my SET amp is pristine. I have reservations as to whether anything less than a "fabulous" tube tuner wouldnt ultimately degrade the overall gestalt.
