Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

RE: Looking for a Tuner...

The 20 and 20b were solid state conversions of the 10b tube tuner and are and were about the best if not the best of the SS Marantz tuners. The asking price is below what the average was a few years ago when I sort of monitored pricing. Back then the going price on one working but with a burn spot on the tube was in the range of $700 so the asking price if working is very good. Not much is discussed about this tuner as it was expensive at the time, more so than a McIntosh and there were so many NIB unsold 10b tuners that it was competing against the tuner of tuners. The 20b tuner is the tuner in the Model 19 receiver that is so sought by Marantz receiver. I'd go after if before any of the others mentioned and I have a Mc MR77 that I bought new sitting on my shelf that I'd swap for one.
