Recently started thinking about SW after being away from it for just shy of 50 years. When I was in it, I built an EICO 720 and ran it with a Hallicrafters SX110. For a few years after geting sidetracked I kept a Hallicrafters S38C (didn't everyone) on the shelf but it finally rolled over and died a big death. Sort of started thinking about it when I saw a Transoceanic 3000-1 and bought it but less than 10 hours with it showed sometimes old is simply old as it too rolled over and died. Then started looking at a Grindig Satellite 800 but seem like an answer to a question no one asked and I rather prefer analog plus was not sure I'd stay interested so recently picked up the Eton S350DL and been having some fun with something that reminds me a bit of the old Hallicrafters. SW though has really dropped off though in the 50 years and not as much enjoyment there but am having a blast with dx'ing AM with this thing. Have not had my bedroom stereo on since I got it. I think the next step is to pick up the 800.
