The corollary with mobile HF antennas are the uglier it looks, usually the better it performs :D
I have a 102" whip off the rear quarterpanel with the AH-4 autotuner, if I really wanted to get into 40 meters or below I'd probably bite the bullet and get a trailer-hitch mounted screwdriver instead. That'd be about $700 for the whole setup with controller, though :(
Noise blankers are tricky things. I've run into some that works miracles and some that seem to do squat, and everything in between.
