And then there's signal quality from the stations, which is mostly horrible in the USA!
IME most tube tuners are quite wonderful sounding if working well, some less wonderful than others though! Yes, it depends on the local FM environment, and truly high quality signals. And I'd add that you need real stereo acoustic music, too!
