Aside from those occasional gems of live broadcasts, or taped live broadcasts, what are we really listening to on radio?For the vast majority of the stations I receive they are FM broadcasts of CDs, subject to way too much compression. There are stations that use less compression, but they are few in number.
A lot of the excitement has been removed from the source recording.
Has anyone else experienced this?
