and I use a Magnum Dynalab Etude with an external rat Shack FM antenna in a stacked configuration with an external rat Shack TV antenna. It sounds great! I have a rotor also, but I seldom use it as I am tuned to 88.3 almost always. 88.1 from Long Beach comes in a bit noisily, as does 91.5 from USC (go Trojans!) in L.A.I have another tuner in my bedroom, a Tandberg 3011 with a Magnum silver ribbon indoor antenna. The presets on this tuner are broken and manual tuning on this unit is...convoluted, to be kind. But it does not matter because the Tandberg is permanently tuned to 88.3, and it sounds great!
In short, with a strong signal, it doesn't matter which good tuner you have, nor whether you have an indoor or an outdoor antenna. I do remember the old days when 88.3 was the weakest signal in town, before they got the money to upgrade their transmitter. THAT'S why I got an external antenna and a rotor in the first place!
