Bill Ammons sells a ceramic filter adder board that could be used, it requires 12VDC. It has positions for two 3 pin ceramic filters.
The series of stages is: filter, JFET amp, filter. If you replace the first filter with a 0.1uF cap, you get an AC coupled JFET amp, then filter, with the 2nd filter correctly loaded for the required 330 ohm input and output impedance.
If used it this way in many compromised FM tuners that had a ceramic filter directly after the mixer transformer. There really should be a buffer there first, and the JFET amp provides that.
One could likely use it in a similar way as described above in a tube tuner.
