Interesting as my suggested RCA tube line up does very little to change the alignment. A 6AU6 is a 6AU6. A 6HS6 also does very little vs a 6AU6 with regard to alignment.

I would not lube the tuner. You could upgrade the coupling caps for better sound. My 2200 sounds stunning. Of course, the 12AU7 ruins the sonics. Use a E80CC.
