A ceiling-mounted rhombic, eh? I think I'll do that.
It amazes me that people will carefully compare specs and spend good money to buy a sensitive tuner then use a piece of wire or a folded dipole antenna. Directionality means lower or eliminated multipath, which a tuner cannot get rid of.
While I have not heard an Accuphase tuner, at least in a good system, I have heard two tuners that can present a real stereo image: the Scott 310E and the Marantz 10B. For all its hype, the 10B really is "all that." It's musical and sensitive.
I think sensitivity is overrated in tuners. Most of us live in cities, where directionality is an issue, and sensitivity is not.
