The site you reference says nothing about replacing coupling caps. It talks about fixing the inherent de-emphasis error in the tuner by either removing 4 filter caps, or adding an additional active filter circuit with compensation for the rolloff. Can you name the parts by circuit board number to make sure everyone knows which ones you are talking about?
Have you measured the effect of removing the ferrite bead? It may be also part of the filter, and may not be a good thing for all people depending what is downstream and how it tolerates ultrasonic digital garbage.
