I wanted the Sony with all the features until I heard it. I am not so good with surface mount component changes. So, I would rather pay for the quality out of the box. No doubt the Sony is unbelievable for $99 or less as a DX machine.
I guess I want a $2K quality HD receiver with adjustable variable I.F. bandwidth be it ceramic filter or DSP signal processing plus Burr Brown type quality Op-Amps on the output.
