My Citation does that occasionally, one time it even melted the glass. You might want to take the cover off the bottom, usually when a tube red plates in it, a resistor on that tube also fails/burns. I have been using Gold Lyon KT88's, they are ok, and easy to find. When one has failed, the others are ok, but I replace the pair and re-bias.
The first couple of times it happened, I tried to find a cause and never found one. I have the amp on 8 - 12 hours a day, I haven't tracked it, but the failures were approximately 18 months or so.
