Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |

it was a socket saver kit for a tube tester. Regardless, there were three additional items in the kit that I don't recognize. The large tong and two screens look like hot vacuum tube pullers. Thanks in advance for any answers.
I also have a question concerning socket savers for tube testers.. I recognize that socket savers save wear and tear on the tester's socket receptacle pins, especially with constant use. However, it seems to me that leaving the socket saver installed for a long time will also permanently stretch the the tester's receptacle pins. My experience with child protector devices for household sockets over a long period shows a permanent stretch of the receptacle pins making the sockets useless. So, are socket savers a good or bad thing for vacuum tube testers? Thanks.
