Depends what your goals are. If it is your goal of "No sand" ever then it directly conflicts with the goal of optimizing performance economically. I have used coscoded Mosfets for plate loading with serious good results. Yes, you can provide similar wide frequency impedance with lower DCR with a choke but at much higher cost and mucho space considerations. If we consider that the PS has great influence over the signal path then any SS rectification violates the "No sand" goal...
