Apparently no one here other than myself has tried this tube. I have a 100 hours of break-in on mine. There are now three GOOD 5U4G tubes. WE 422a, U52 and this KR RK SE. The WE is almost too detail oriented, but not quite. The U 52 is a lovely sounding tube with Bass, nice detail and balanced tube sound. At 100 hours, the KR splits the difference. This is with NOS US Navy 1940s RCA 2A3s. The next 50 to 100 hours will be delightful.
Check the price of this tube against Tung Sol NOS 5U4G and the other two aforesaid rectifiers on Ebay and then the price ain't half bad.
