RE: EL-84/6BQ5 question

The owner doesn't want any of the low level inputs and all those parts are "in the bin". He only wants one input for a CD player so no input switching either. He also wants the tone controls ditched. No need for tape out. The owner has previously bypassed the focus (balance) control. Plan to lower the impedance of the volume control to 50K. Add CCS fed HV shunt reg. for V stage and inv./driver B+ and up the output cathode resistor to from 165R to 180R to drop the plate current a bit to compensate some for the higher B+ due to modern AC line voltage.
