IMS, IMO, the Genalex re-issue are better than short plate NOS GE 12AU7s. The Genalex are, in fact, to me, very similar in sound to the NOS long plate GEs, which is high praise. The GEs might be a tad more relaxed but otherwise the quality level is the same.
