My differential phono pre uses four 6N30s and diff. line stage two. These units require matched sections. The only issue that I've had with the new production tubes is one started arcing in the first 50 hours of use. It was a driver tube in the phono pre. It was DC connected to the input stage that has a CCS plate load and fried a MOSFET. No big deal. Other than that no problems. I would not pay the premiums asked for NOS 6N30s.
