So I measured five '12AT7s'.

Measured these installed in my WAVAC MD-805ms driving (full-range) only the MR and treble of my Serenity Super-7s. Used broadband pink noise; measured with A-weighting to reduce the affects of low-frequency traffic noise, at the listening position. Amps' level controls (already set to c. 9:30-o'clock) were tweaked slightly to equalize the 2 channels' output levels using the original GE 5751s. That setting proved excellent--the average left-to-right level difference averaged 0.1dB (no, I can't measure noise that accurately, but that's the result of the arithmetic using raw numbers to the 1/4dB).
