RE: UX-171-A

Note that the 71 as opposed to 71a in the guise of CX-371, SX-171 and UX-171 draw twice the filament current of the 71A.

Also, the 71 has a thoriated tungsten filament which glows bright whitish yellow, and not the duller filament of the 71a, which also affords it the property of self rejuvenation, to some extent.

Further, the input capacitance or capacities are much lower than 45 or 2A3 which allows for a higher Rp and and also lower Ip driver to satisfy slew rate issues.

And just one further addition is its low current filament, which makes battery heating and filament bias a sensible option.
