BTW: i think specially seeking E88CC instead of the common ECC88/6DJ8 type is not necessary. E88...only means that these type is a long life version made for industrial purposes but does not guarantee excellent sound automatically.
what´s the true benefit of a 5000 hours working E88CC tube when the cheaper "normal" ECC88 fits sonically perfect but has an espected life of - let´s say - "only" 3000 hours? (may be it even works for 5000 hours also!). when you calculate the length of your individual listening sessions you would have to admit that you can have fun with the normal version over years also...
