..you misunderstood part of my post....#1..my post was not my 'analysis' but my experience with having given ( injected )..10's of thousands of both intra-articular injections and injections into tenon sheaths..ie the covering surrounding the tendon..of shoulders ..elbows ..knees...ankles ...etc over a 35 yr history in othopedics and urgent care medicine.the 'cortisone'..usually either depomedrol or celestone , occasionaly....CAN cause a marked increase in the local inflamation it was given to relieve which in turn can increase the pain. this is rare and usually is a short termed event..ie a few days... at which time the steroid will usually begin to relieve the inflamation and secondarily the pain.THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES with regard to the injection helping to reduce the inflamation and/or curing the pain or increasing the mobility of the affected joint...any medical practitioner , these days, who doesn't tell you EVERYTHING that could possibly happen with a given procedure, or when prescribing a new medication, is setting him or herself up for a lawsuit.....unfortunately...i hope your shoulder responds to whatever treatment you next get. my experience is that time has a way ...if one has the patience..to resolve alot of problems.adhesive capsulitis is difficult to treat at times...especially if it has been going on for a while.don't be afraid to get a second opinion regarding you problem..i would consult with an orthopedist who SPECIALIZES in shoulders. good luck
