can not understand the hype about GL KT88 reissue. purchased them twice - drove them in MC275 and Welter ACPP60 monos - and gave them away again twice! this experience tells everything about them. nothing in common with "true" or neutral sounding, not even sweet...
the russian Tungsol KT120 (KT88 clone) sounds great! try them!
my favourite modern power tubes are SED 6550 winged C and KT88 "Treasure Z". the SED 6550 C sounds even so much better than SED KT88 C IMHO. other tube amp freaks confirm.
