i confirm Mouse ears` feelings!got a brandnew quad KT88 Z yesterday. after 30 minutes in my MC275 i felt that these Katies obviosly/hearable combine all positive properties i found in all other brands i used in my tube gear. (GL KT88 reissue, SED 6550 C, SED KT88 C, Ei KT90, Tung Sol KT120 + diverse chinese firecrackers).
the Z`s make my Mac best sounding ever and i will use it for the breaking in period but will change then to my ACPP60 monos - or get me another quad Z`s etxtra for those. (MC275 is a fine and convenient sounding amp but "slow" and lacking dynamics and attack in comparison to other quality amps i am used to. i wonder why the western hemispehere is satisfied with those cozy sounding machines btw...).
