The 6A5g is an indirectly heated 6B4g with the addition of a center tap on the heater/filament which is tied to pin #8 and the cathode. This center tap was implemented to further reduce hum. The Peerless A 100A is the only commercial amplifier that I am aware of that used this tube, but I hope to be corrected if I'm wrong. I believe that there were radios that used the 6a5g as outputs however. Talk soon, Paul ps- still looking for a mate for my lonely A 100 A.
