LinuxGuru,
The closest Russian substitute for the 12BH7 I know would be:
http://store.triodestore.com/12elrustub.html
- which is the Electro-Harmonix "12BH7EH", made in Russia. I believe the Russian designation is 6N6P
Is there a reason you need to have a Russian 12BH7? :

- as there are still quite a few good NOS available.
I use the 12BH7 in an Audio Research SP8 preamp(power supply regulator) and 2 in McIntosh MC240 power amplifier and over the years bought a supply of NOS:
12BH7 (3) 2, 1 TOTAL: 19 (> )
1- GE- Brimar blk pl- NOS
3- RCA grey pl, D- gtr, NOS
3- RCA grey pl, halo gtr- NOS
2- RCA- blk pl, U gtr -1949 -NOS
3- Sylvania- grey pl, halo gtr- NOS
1- GE- NOS
1- Raytheon- blk pl, square gtr- US- NOS
2- Raytheon- blk pl, sq gtr- US- NOS 1959
2- RCA- blk pl, halo gtr -US -NOS
1- CBS- blk plate, stirrup gtr- US - NOS
The black plate RCA is supposed to be very good sounding as is the Brimar. The 2- RCA's from 1949 are the oldest tubes I have.
Cheers,
Bambi B
