you have to buy or make adapters, but aside from the pin-out and the grid cap, the 6F8G is identical in operation to the 6SN7. And there are Tung-Sol black-glass, round plate versions of the 6F8G that sound at least as good, maybe slightly better, than the 6SN7 version, and can be had for $30/pair or less - 10% of what the TS BGRP 6SN7's cost...
