I have a dozen Sylvania 2-mica/blackplate/gold pins. They're excellent, though I never got around to trying the 3-mica version (which I don't think come w/ gold pins.) I used them (along with Sylvania or RCA 3-mica blackplate 5751's) in my McIntosh MC275; along with the very special sounding (IMO ;-) NOS Genalex Gold Lion or Blue Label KT-88's. That kept me pretty happy for quite awhile. Then I discovered the Genalex GEC A2900 (CV6091 = military version) and I haven't found anything better since. Mine are the 2-mica version, they also made a 3-mica version, but I can't find them anywhere. Their main strength is strength ;-) That and a smooth, effortless sounding presentation. In my amp, it takes a pair of 12AT7's to drive each pair of powertubes because of the McIntosh 'Unity Coupled Circuit' used to operate the power tubes.
You didn't say your application, so YMMV.
