His comment (the guy with the BL63) was that they did make his transformer hotter, but yes, the was using them in an amp made for 6SN7's, although it is an amp that is designed to accomodate both the ECC32 and the 6SL7 as well as a true 6SN7.
The 6F8G, with an adapter for the pin out and grid cap, is a true drop-in replacement for a 6SN7. I don't think the BL63 is quite that close, just as the ECC32 is not exact and won't work right in every amp.
