Filament voltage for 50s and VT52s

Guys,

I have been running VT52s at about 6.9 vdc. I recently got my hands on a couple of 50s. I used the 50s in my mono blocks and I was seriously impressed with the sound. Do you guys think that I will shorten the life of the 50s or the VT52s for that matter at 6.9 volts? I like the ability to run both and obviously switching between 6.3 to 7.5 volts would be ideal but I travel a lot lately and I would rather spend my time at home listening rather than soldering....opinions??

Chris
