I would like to try some 6L6 tubes in my PrimaLuna Dialogue II, but I am a bit overwhelmed by the number of choices. In doing some research, it seems as though the GE 6L6GC sets the standard; but I do not want to pay that much for NOS--until I at least know that I like a 6L6 tube...
What new production tubes would would be the best to try in my amp?
BTW--I know it is silly, but I REALLY like the looks of the new Tung-Sol 6L6Gs, but I am not sure if they would work in the PrimaLuna (It calls for 6L6GCs). Also, they don't seem to be available at very many vendors--Should that raise any concerns?
