In Smith and Buchanan's "Tube Substitution Handbook", Revised Edition (1998), it lists the EF86 as a good substitute for the EL84. The Handbook is not about listing EXACT substitutes, but usable ones.
Has anyone tried using EF86/6267's in place of EL84/6BQ5's? And if so, with what results?
Thanks!
