First, there is the 7C7, which is the loctal-base equivalent of the 6SJ7. If you can make a loctal > octal adapter, you can use 7C7's.
Second, and I *cannot* vouch for this as a universal substitute, but at least in the Darkvoice 337, you can use the 6BX6/EF80, but you would have to make a noval > octal adapter. Here is a link with instructions on how to do that below.
