With regard to the Silver mono, do not be afraid of low impedances. A tube amp is not as affected by the drop in impedance as a SS amp is. Thus the reason so many use tubes with Martin Logans. The Silver monos are powerhouse amps. They are rated at 90wpc, but I just had mine measured and they measured at 112wpc, and within 3db out to 70,000hz, and flat down to about 10HZ. I have used them with Legacy Whisper (magical combo) after hearing them with the ARC VT200, latest Nuforce, Copland, Bryston, and the Quickies were easily the best sounding. They also sounded great with the Magnepan 20.1's which is a much more difficult load than the Thiel speakers are. They played superbly. Do not underestimate the Silver mono amps, they are a real find. Enjoy them, Jeff
