You seem to have conveniently forgotten I stated very clearly there, and earlier in this thread, I had't heard the reissues yet, and that I was going to buy a quad and decide for myself. I will; and then I'll compare my assesment with that of other hobbyists like Michael and John.

BTW, it was not me, but Sherlock who introduced the term "magic". I was indeed very sceptical before I heard the NOS GEC KT88's in my own system, but now I could pick out that sound easily, and if the reissues have it I'll know it. If you have customers to advise, it seems to me you'd want to make product comparisons yourself first, instead of making excuses for not doing so.

In the meantime, please stop this ridiculous jousting match. You should re-read your last post, you're embarrasing yourself.
