Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I'm probably the last one to the party on this, but I discovered that using a cotton ball dampened w/ naphtha (AKA: Ronsonal lighter fluid) will clean tubes very nicely while leaving the printing intact -- even fragile old Telefunkens!Try a little spot with a Q-Tip first if you're skittish, but so far, I haven't found any exceptions (definitely post a response if you do, please.) Just don't use anything containing water (including 98% alcohol) or other solvents (lacquer thinner, acetone, turpentine, etc.)
