A vibrator is essentially a relay that is wired up so that when the
coil is energized, the relay contacts open... Think of the old "buzzers" or doorbell clappers. Mechanical parameters determine
the natural frequency of operation.. The frequency of the buzz gives you a train of square waves of 12VDC. :) If you go look at the Fourier Series for a square wave, you'll see that the weight of
the sinuisoidal harmonics is such that it is mainly AC. :)So, you feed the square wave train to a transformer... The transformer sees it as a linear combination of sine waves... :)
