I've used the isolation pads found on the Herbie Hal-o tube dampers as a washer/spacer when mounting parts like tube sockets, transformers, motor run oil caps. I just place my mounting screw through the isolation pad and it provide a nice bit of damping. Since these are made for direct tube contact, they'll work in warm/hot places.
