I see that one is marked a grade 5, and the other is a grade 7. A grade 5 is decent guitar amp quality, while the 7 is ok HiFi amp quality. The higher the grade, the lower the distortion. All fourteen (two spares) of my GT E34LS are 9s and were matched. From the rear, both your tubes look alike. They may have come from different production batches. Give GT a call. They have been helpful to me when questioned.
