I have been breaking in a couple of digital amp pairs for a audio club meeting tomorrow. I initially began listening to them for about five hours each night, but had to change that schedule. These amps went through so many breakin changes that I decided to just play them continuously, but not listen to them. Not wanting to put 150 hours on my expensive NOS tubes, I pulled them and installed the stock Chinese 6SN7 in the rear sockets and a pair of EH in the front sockets. After around 80 hours of breakin, the 98 sounds damn good if you like neutral and dynamic sound. Its about 90% of my NOS Raytheon VT231/ 1952 Sylvania 6SN7GT sound.
