My experience with these tubes is mainly in a VAC PA100.100 with a VAC Standard Preamp LE. It can be hard to generalize between different gear using different tubes.The Chinese quad I had seemed to have a ripe addictive quality that was very easy to listen to. But they were sort of tinny and harsh for the first 100 hours or so. Then took on a nice bloom. The KT90's also took quite awhile to reach their potential. I like the dynamics and kick of the KT90's, but can still enjoy the fatter KT88 sound. Both have their likable qualities.
