You're the same guys who whine about Stereophile costing $1 per issue, too.If I'm selling a $1,000 integrated amp or old $500 CDP, then $6.00 is well worth it for the audience that I can capture. For a $50 set of cables, or for a used $25 tube, then OK, it's spendy.
What does eBay charge sellers? Why not complain more about Paypal's 2.9%?
Oh, and when I buy something......it costs nothing!!! That's a great deal. I'll gladly pay $6.00 to sell on Audiogon and have access to (arguably) the world's best market for used gear.
Hey, Audiogon built the de facto standard for this market, established their "brand" and now has earned the right to charge a premium.
....."ain't that America....."
