Yes, it makes a difference. Maybe not as big as rolling the 12BZ7's. I did the RCA...GE thing also. RCA's are staying in for now. For the EL84's I've tried several. Using some old Mullard's now. I think 1965... I also have a pair of tele's that I like. BTW, I've been using the "new" Mullard EL34's for over 10 months and have been very happy with them.
